I'm Amy. Trying to lose a lot of weight. About 1/2 of what I currently weigh. Any suggestions welcomed.

I'm not an expert on weight loss or nutrition, but from what I've learned on mfp is:
Input your info into mfp and let that help calculate your calories.
Set your weight loss at 1 or 2 lbs a week. (Slow and steady is the best approach.)
Be sure to log your exercise calories separate.
A food scale can be very helpful in tracking.
If you are working with a doctor, please follow their advice.
I'm trying to lose 70 lbs right now. Breaking it into 10 lbs at a time, and not feel overwhelmed.
Lots of good luck!1 -
Log everything.
Exercise
Set small attainable goals. It's more encouraging if you're seeing some success2
