Hi! I’m an ex runner and triathlete. I have a seven year old and a husband, and I’m trying to fit in exercise, preparing healthy foods, and sticking to my eating plan. I love middle eastern and Indian food. I go on long 6 mile walks. I have a bike on a trainer and a rowing machine. I’m trying to build some muscle as I’m 49 and post menapausal. I’m 150 trying to get down to 140. I look forward to having a community on this site!

Hi there. I am not a triathlete but I have taken part in a self-imposed sprint tri with a friend a couple of years ago in Spain, my partner is a triathlete though, so I understand your fitness and sport. I have always worked out, but since working 30 hours per week since September and having my Grandson 14 hours (before lockdown), my weight is creeping steadily up and I have literally not done anything in the gym! Stepped on scales this morning as I know I have been over eating and drinking since our Easter Spanish holiday got cancelled and I was shocked to find myself my heaviest YET! I'd love to be 140 Ibs. I am 52 years-old, mother of five and sitting at 159.6! Now.....my 140Ib goal seems way off so I am going to be kind to myself and start off with 10ib as quick as is possible, then will re-*kitten*. I need to be 144ib ideally. Our treadmill is currently out of order (waiting on a part to be delivered), but we do have a concept2 rower, gravity walker, X-trainer and weights in our gym (summer house) so I have zero excuse with the extra time in lockdown.
