Hey everyone, I need help finding a protein bar or shake. I am doing the insanity program and I know they recommend shakeology but I can't afford that lol i'm trying to find a recipe for some yummy protein bars that I can make myself rather then spend in store which are high in sugar. Please help me!

I had to look up that shakeology stuff since I've never heard of it over here (Europe), but wow that's expensive! :noway: I recently bought a big jar of whey protein for €25 at a sporting goods store, so I'm sure there are a ton of cheaper alternatives out there for you! (Walmart sell them too). I took a peek at your diary and it looks like you're already getting a decent amount of protein each day. But you could always use half a serving if you'd just like it as a recovery drink after your workout?

I got mine because I wanted to up my protein intake, I don't eat a lot of meat so there were days on which I only got 30-40g a day. Now I try to take half a serving with my breakfast (1 scoop - 15g protein), either with milk or as pancakes (mix with 2 eggs and a banana). And sometimes I take another half a serving after working out, or later in the day when I'd like to up the numbers a bit more.

I know the shakeology was extremely expensive!
I wanted something for after my workout to help with soreness which I thought the shakes were supposed to do.
I'll definitely check at walmart or gnc for a recovery powder to make with my food :) thanks
