Am i being healthy?

Hi there! I'm new to working out and eating healthy so i have some questions i would appreciate if someone could help me out with. I am female, 5'9", 21 years old and weigh 273, i have been eating roughly around 1250 a day (my goal is 1500 but I'm having difficultly getting there) and i exercise daily, elliptical 30 mins, walking 1 hour and my apple watch shows that with working out (and daily movement) i burn on average about 1100-1200 calories a day. I just want to know if this is healthy or not?

You should eat more. It's not healthy to be in that much of a deficit for very long.6

What weight loss rate did you target? I'm assuming it was 2 pounds a week. That should be an OK loss rate for you for a while, but you should be eating your 1500 calories plus a reasonable estimate of your exercise calories.
In those circumstances, eating only 1100-1200 total calories would be risky, not healthy. IF you're having trouble eating your calorie goal (plus exercise calories!) then eat some more of calorie-dense but not as filling foods. Some good examples are nuts, nut butters, more oil on salad or in cooking, full fat dairy instead of nonfat/lowfat. If you are getting good nutrition before you hit your calorie goal, it's also OK to include some less nutrient-dense treat foods that you can moderate, so you get an appropriate number of calories most days. Getting enough calories is important: Part of a healthy way of eating.

Your watch is telling you lies or you are misinterpreting what it's telling you!
Just your BMR (that's being at total rest and fasted) is massively higher than that.
Why are you struggling to get to a meagre 1500cals?
I don't want to be harsh but you didn't get to your current weight struggling to eat what really isn't a lot of food.
Between the extremes of overeating and undereating is where you need to be, neither your previous intake or current intake is healthy.7 -
Because this is your first post, I'll ask: are you using a digital food scale? Do you weigh and measure everything correctly? To answer your question the data has to be fairly accurate. You have to know how many calories you're eating and how much you're burning with exercise. Being healthy and losing weight at a sustainable pace means a balance between the two. It'll take awhile to get it, so don't worry. However, if your calorie goal is 1500 you should hit that, and Ann gave you excellent ideas. Exercising will give you more and you need to eat those calories too. You need to eat as much as you can and still lose. Good luck.4

Eating healthy doesnt mean eating only foods so low in calories it barely helps you hit your goal.
Eating healthy means eating a variety of foods both low and high caloric densities and getting the benefits of everything those foods have to offer.
I am 5 foot 3 and 257 pounds and my calorie goal is 1800 for 1lbs per week loss.. and honestly I have no problems eating 1800... and that includes lots of veggies, lean proteins and carbs, 1300 for the sake of 2lbs per week is not even worth the struggle. And to do that for long term? No thank you.
Maybe i misunderstand you but it sounds to me like you're eating under 1200 and then burning even more then you're eating.
How is that healthy? Would you starve your pet the way you're starving your body? Everything your eating is going to your workouts and you're leaving nothing to pump your heart, your lungs, keep your lean muscle functioning.. your body isnt just going to burn fat, its going to want protein too, and if you're not eating enough, it's going to start using you as its protein source... lean muscle includes your vital organs... do you want to be skinny, tired and have kidney problems? Liver failure? Heart problems?
Stop eating like a rabbit and eat like you enjoy, learn to eat normally with foods you love in normal portions, otherwise this entire weight loss is going to be a waste, because you will be too tired to finish and wont be able to sustain it for the rest of your life and you wont have had this time to practice normal healthy eating habits8
