Weigh in not as expected

I weighed myself today (6th week) and saw that this week I had stayed the same, now I know it could be down to a number of things but I was disappointed as had done 6mile walk everyday and stuck to calories (fully calculating everything that touched my lips). I previously would have throw it all away by eating lots but instead I stuck to calories again. Then I saw a photo that my sis took of me today and was just shocked to see how big I looked when am feeling slimmer and am certainly lighter than have been in a long time (12lb lost-2st to lose). No real questions here but just wanted to voice the shock at my photo and TBH my upset. Only positive is that I am keeping going.

The only way to get where you want to be is to keep going. If I have learned one thing from the fine folks here on MFP is that patience is key. Weight loss is not linear it goes up and down for many different reasons especially with us females. Trust the process it does work, you will get there.
As far as the photo is concerned don't give it a second thought pictures can be deceptive, what you wear, they way you are standing/sitting, the lighting, the angle it was taken, all those things can distort a photo.
Please don't let one day of staying the same and a bad photo throw you off track, you got this7 -
You're going good sticking to good habits. The weeks just after the first month can be some of the toughest because the excess water weight is gone, and because of that, your weight is more likely to fluctuate and mask fat loss because of water fluctuations, especially in women with their cycles. Photos can be horrible things, my mother once took a picture of me 60lbs down and I felt like I had lost nothing looking at that photo. They are just unflattering sometimes.5

Weight loss isnt linear. It is possible to do everything right and see no scale movement, sometimes even for several weeks.4

I know what you mean. Some days are just like that. You feel fatter than before you started! Don't let the devil play tricks with your mind. Know that you ARE doing great!1

Try to not let a picture get you down. Keep counting calories and getting in your workouts and you'll continue to lose. I've been at the same weight for 7 weeks now, so I understand how not seeing a loss can be frustrating.1

Hugs. Yeah it's hard. Keep going, you will be rewarded for your dedication1
