Dear Team

Thanks for a good app finally. I wanted to know one crisp and quick question - 1700 cal in my plan is a reduced level or an optimum level to lose weight .
I am jogging daily and doing basic strength training -jog uphill, pushups , crunches and dumbbells , which the app does not read for calories burnt , so I was concerned
Regards
Shivankit

1700 calories is a number based on your stats and activity level which is your daily living outside of purposeful exercise
It includes whatever your deficit is to lose, if you selected 1lbs per week, the 500 calorie deficit is already taken into account.

When you add exercise to mfp using the exercise diary, the goal is that you eat back 50% of those calories min and watch the scale over time, like a couple months, and see what the results are.

If you find you are losing less then projected there are things you can do, which is check and make sure you are using correct food entries from the database and see if that helps in calories being consumed, or eat less of your exercise calories back.

If you are losing too quickly then projected, eat more of those calories and continue to watch progress over a couple months and make adjustments from there if needed
