Hi,
I am trying to loose weight. I am 5”6 and I weigh 235.2 lbs. I am a diabetic so I need a low carb and low fat meal suggestions. I can’t seem to find the right ones. I also am having trouble setting the goal. It seems to change up on me. Any help would be truly appreciated. I would like to loose 1-2 lbs a week. I will be 50 in October and I really would like to be in the 1 hundred club by then or on my way close. I can love around good and don’t mind excercising either.

If I were you I would ask for a referral to a Dietician.
As an alternative, you can go to diabetes.org and look at their nutrition recommendations. I wouldn't think low fat would be the way to go, but again, talk to your medical team.2 -

I don't understand either why you would need low fat. Fat is so important to healthy body functioning (hormones, for example). I can understand controlling carbs for DM, but it doesn't necessarily need to be low carb. Many people with diabetes are able to manage with moderate carbs, but that's a very individual thing. Weight loss is about the calorie deficit, more so than the specific macros, but with diabetes, the carbs/sugars will be more important to manage. I agree with the suggestions of checking out the diabetes website and seeing a registered dietitian for some guidance, preferably one who is well versed in Diabetes management.2

Foods are made up of carbs, fat and protein.......by eliminating 2 out of the 3, you are essentially looking for an all protein diet. This is not healthy.
The diabetes.org website would be a good place to start.1
