Waist and thigh slimmer

Hello,
I have been considering buying a waist and thigh slimmer and I wanted to know if they actually work. My friend got one and recommended it to me, but she has always been the type to find short cuts when trying to get fit. Now, I'm not so delusional as to believe that they can burn off all fat if I sit, eat fast food, and watch YouTube all day. What I'm asking is if I wear it while doing cardio, a max of 2 hours 5 days a week, will it help get rid of water weight? Will I start to slim down after a few weeks? I have a well enough diet and i do exercise, i just have a hard time slimming and toning my "thunder thighs."
Any advice, experiences, and opinions welcome. Please dont be sarcastic and talk down to me simply for asking.

Calorie deficit is what works.6

Unfortunately, they are just a placebo. They don’t do anything. Just gotta keep working on keeping a calories deficit.5

Thank you. I was kinda hoping it would work, but I'll just have to eat even less 😅4

Not even less, just less.3

If the calories I'm eating now isnt slimming me down, MFP has me at 1700, then clearly I need to eat below that right?0

Have you lost no weight at all? How much weight do you want to lose? What is your starting weight?2

they are not really the best idea as prolonged wearing can have harmful effects on your body. if you do wear them for 'training your body/redefining your shape' they will work if you wear them per the 'waist training' processes. but its a long and progressive process and it does not last as your body will end up going back to its 'meant to be shape' in a short period of time. https://home.bt.com/lifestyle/health/fitness/11-things-you-need-to-know-about-waist-training-113639767871580
