I make my vegetable lasagna's with cottage cheese, dry pasta sheets, and arbitrary leftover or raw grated vegetables but have never had splitting problems. Maybe because I let the lasagna sit around at least a few hours so the dry pasta sheets can soak up some liquid and maybe i cook at a lower temperature.
You might try a conventional lasagna recipe that uses bechamel sauce and replace minced meat in bolognaise with lentils cooked in a tomato sauce. The Serious Eats recipe uses bechamel with ricotta. I haven't tried it though.
