My name is Donna and I am 60 years old. I am from the Midwest USA. 5’ 5

May start Weight: 207.9 (Weight on April 30th)
    May Goal Weight: 202.9
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know when I get there).

    May 1 : 207.7
May 8: 207.2 I went up a bit with the travel, but I am working it back down. This is my birthday week. It falls on Mother’s Day Sunday this year. A double holiday for me so I will have to tiptoe very very carefully through this week so I don’t ruin any progress I’ve made including my non-scale victories!
May 15: 204.3 Finally a little progress. I’ve got to stay on track and keep moving too. It works.
May 22: 204.8 I’ve been bouncing around all week. Mostly good days but, like everyone else, I sometimes have to fight the sodium, discipline myself not to eat back the calories and DRINK MY WATER!!!

    Diet start: March 1, 243.8
    May start Weight: 233
    May Goal Weight: 228
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 210

I've been stuck in the low 230s. This month my goal is to break into the 220s.

    May 1 : 233

    May 8: 235
(Up 2! Drastic action is called for.)

    May 15:228
(Huh? OK, I lowered my calories and upped my workouts. A little. I don't understand this 7-pound loss. But I'll take it.)

    May 22: 227.8

my Fitbit arrives today! Super excited. I'm extremely sedentary and have a desk job, so I'm interested to see what a typical work day looks like and then start working to increase those steps.

I LOVE my fitbit. I wear it every single day and in conjunction with myfitnessplan, it has really helped me with my weight loss goals.

I have been using an App called “Relax and Sleep Well”. There are different sessions that you can choose from. They each cost $2.99. I tend to listen to the one called “Lose Weight Now”.

Thanks so much for sharing that!

This quarantine is stopping all of my progress. My calories are in a major deficit every day, I'm exercising my *kitten* off but the scale refuses to move. It's tickin' me off.

When I was really restricting my calories, allowing myself a day on the weekend to cycle in higher calories usually showed me a loss on the scale the next day. (You need to remind your body that it's NOT actually starving - when you eat too little and workout too much, you're in a mega calorie deficit, and you might just need to eat a little more.)

    My 2 cents.

I am so happy with my results. The hypnosis, exercise and eating better is working so well.

(Does an extra happy dance for anyone else reaching into the 140's!!)

Some dramatic jumps... :unamused: Dealing with a lot of stress right now, but still making (apparently abundant) healthy food choices, lifting weight, and walking a LOT with this beautiful weather.

    May 1 : 272
    May 8: 271
    May 15: 269
May 22: 270.4 Discouraging to see the scale going up...doubling up on revising my diet and exercise diversification... I have plenty I can change. "keeping it real" ...I know I have allowed myself to be too free with my calories...still very within my TDEE...with only one "eat whatever you want day" in 125 days... but the reality is...that scale is not moving...even though I've exerciseD more in the past 125 days than I did in 3 yrs.... So - back to the details... Quitting IS NOT AN OPTION. My favorite motivational quote this week is this: "If you quit now, you'll end up where you started from. NEVER QUIT!"

Doing what I know works - calorie deficit = weight loss, switched to green tea, I still had a chocolate twist a day for 4 days @319 calories each, swapped potatoes for more veg to allow for this, I aim for 1300 cals a day, I’m pleased😀
