I've been doing intermittent fasting since 16th June (had a 4 week holiday where I only fasted a few times) but during the last (almost) 10 weeks of my dieting, I have lost 14 pounds and 8 inches from my waist.
No idea about body fat....to be honest, was scared to find that out! Not many people have noticed yet (have a lot of weight to lose) but my clothes fit better and some are very loose now.
I saw results after about 3-4 weeks, my stomach was flatter and my face was a little thinner.

    First of all Congrats!
Second a pal of mine said it was bad for females to do IF which is crazy because I know lots of women do it

Right now I'm weighing 193lbs and goal weight is 180 or 175. I still notice quite a bit of lower belly fat so I'm doing IF to get rid of as much fat as possible. I'm at around 24% body fat

It'll be the same length of time as any other method of eating that involves a caloric deficit.
  • I don't think even if you get an answer to your question it will be applicable to you in any way, shape, or form.

Like most regimented diets, they work until they don't. Don't focus on when it will stop, focus on making it work for you.

Any diet will stall eventually if you stick to a very strict routine. It needs to be readjusted to your changing body weight, level of fitness, and training routine.

As you get in better shape, become lighter, and have more endurance doing the same work out, eating the same amount of calories, and pushing the same intensity just doesn't cut it.

If you constantly work to push more weight, go longer distance, run at a faster cadence, and keep readjusting your TDEE based on weight and activity you can make any diet last a long time.

IF can be great to help you mix things up, but at the end of the day its just an eating pattern. Keep your macros in check and your calories at a scheduled deficit and there is no reason IF can't be the last dieting schedule you need.

Thank you and congrats to you too, 60lbs is amazing!!!
IF and exercising is the only thing that works for me and core muscle exercises are helping the belly fat issue too. Can now do 30 second planks...started off not able to hold myself up at all 10 weeks ago :ohwell:

Good luck with losing the last of your weight

I've been doing IF on and off since starting my weight loss journey in April. I did it for about 2 months consistently and then I took a month where i would still eat the correct amount of calories but just include breakfast. Now I'm back doing IF and I'm losing weight a lot faster than before.
