Kid tantrums got me stress eating..help!

My goal during this quarentine time was to lose weight. Every time I live a day where there are multiple tantrums from those kiddos, having pizza, icecream or something totally not healthy seems like it's a reward for surviving the day. What are your tips for weightloss when you have little ones?

I don't reward with food. I make healthy meals, be mindful of my calories, and eat in everything in moderation. Weight loss is slow, but steady.

Oh boy this is a tough one for me as well. I dont really have a solution yet but add me as a friend and maybe we can figure it out together? That's one of my goals, no rewarding surviving stress. It's all in the mindset but how do we get there is the issue :)

Start young with replacing sugar and simple carbs with complex ones. Less junk food, highly processed food and sugar and your kids will learn better, be much healthier and be more successful in life. Rewarding kids with bad food is a slippery slope for them and only compounds itself with time.

But most important - you need to set the example for them.

We made healthy pizzas with them, loaded with veggies. We bought a Yonanas (fruit that has an ice cream consistency). Involve them in cooking. I made homemade falafels last night that any kid would have probably loved making the patties.

I started cooking at age 9. No kidding. Learning to cook is an essential skill any more. Ask them to be involved with healthy meal planning.
