Not able to lose weight

I started adding fitness pal to track my eating and get on track to lose weight. To achieve my weight goal, it recommends 1500 daily calories. I am 59 years old and since tracking my calories my weight has increased. Very frustrating, I do walk at least 10000 steps a day and if working up to 27000 steps a day. I do work 3rd shift so my sleep alternates, I try to exercise with either line dancing or strength training. I do notice my calorie allowance goes up w exercise- so do you have to increase calories? Sometimes I do, but doesn’t seem to help no matter what I try

If you are logging food and using correct food entries and correct WEIGHTS of food, you should be able to lose on 1500.
How long have you been logging food?
Here's a good flow chart:

How long? How much weight has been lost? How often do you weigh in? At what time?0

Are you ACCURATELY weighing, measuring and logging everything you eat and drink? Consuming less calories than your body burns is always the way weight is lost.
How long have you been tracking?0
