Fitbit users!

Sorry if this has been asked a million times! For Fitbit users do you log your cardio workout or does Fitbit those calories burned as well as steps? Thanks!

Fitbit already counts those calories burned when you sync it to MFP. So if you were to log your cardio workout separately into MFP in addition to syncing your steps with fitbit, you be double counting those calories burned

Actually no - Fitbit is a replace-only system. Not add-to like MFP.

When you log a workout on MFP it syncs over and REPLACES whatever Fitbit had for that chunk of time. That's why you enter start/duration times.

Fitbit would then send a new daily calorie burn figure to MFP (if you changed the calorie burn from what it had).

There is no duplicating, unless you totally screwed up the start/duration time which caused the original to NOT be overwritten by your new data, and both remained.

OP - but there are other good reasons not to log it manually on MFP.
It requires that sync of workout back to Fitbit, you better get the start/duration times right, and Fitbit has to sync a new or another daily burn figure back to MFP.

Perhaps you have noticed the many topics on problems syncing - you really don't want to increase the number that must occur.

Besides - Fitbit's exercise diary is so much better than MFP's.
If you want friends to see your workout - just make a wall post with more interesting info than a workout note would say - be more inspiring!
