Short and sweet. I'm ending my 25-year on-again, off-again relationship with Weight Watchers. For context. The running photo is age 26, 228lbs (3-mile sub 18, 22 pull ups). The picture with my son was 38, 265. (17 pull ups, 3 mile 22:45, 2K row sub 6:30) I weighed in this morning, 46, well over 300lbs and that's me on the ladder. I exercise, a lot! I garden. And I live on a farm. My activity level is high. I have been on the newest incantation of weight watchers using the green plan for well over a year.

It just triggers binging. I binge and binge and binge. I'm not depressed, no mental health issues, and my doctor says I'm in good health overall, but I won't be if I keep this up. The "free foods" are my biggest problem. Way too many fruits. Six oranges and five bananas in one day. Moreover, WW triggers me to "start/stop". If I go out to dinner with my family on a Friday, my weeks screwed or I'm banking points and obsessing over the details.

In addition, somedays on WW I'm eating as low as 2100 calories when I use MFP to compare. And these are on days where I've hauled hay, worked out, worked in the garden, and worked my job. Maybe 1400-1800 calories burned.

I'm on a new path. Mediterranean food is my favorite. I love fish to the point I'm almost a pescatarian. Yes, somehow, WW seems to penalize me for eating the Greek Diet of my ancestors. Nope. I'm not doing it any longer. I will check back in when I'm down 25 lbs.

Good luck to all.
