Glutes-one not activating

My one glute is larger than the other. I have tried testing each glute and I don’t notice a difference besides how they look. Is it the bigger butt cheek (glute) that is stronger or is that the weaker one? I prefer the larger glute as I have a shelve and it’s larger which I am trying to achieve.

Thank you

The bigger butt cheek is the stronger. I would suggest doing more single leg workouts and training your weaker glute. A human body is never really symmetric, so don't worry about it too much. With the right workouts, you can even them out.

It is activating otherwise you couldn't stand up.

If you want a hypertrophy response I would just train appropriately for that goal and not be concerned on normal size discrepancies.

I have one side slightly larger than the other. My smaller side is stronger. To help even them out try single leg exercises. For example I do single leg glute bridges to failure on my weak side and then the same number of reps on my strong side even though it's not to failure. I also do this with single leg deadlifts etc and it is helping to even out my strength and size!
