Calories after marinating
I am curious on how to calculate calories after you marinate something, The reason I ask is that the meat will not absorb every drop of the marinade. Should I cut the calories in half from the marinade? What would be the calories on this simple recipe below? I would think the chicken might absorb a table spoon of the olive oil.
1/4 cup olive oil
clove of garlic
juice of half a lemon
tsp oregano
salt/pepper to taste
8 ounce boneless/skinless chicken breast grilled
1/4 cup olive oil
clove of garlic

tsp oregano

Estimate to the best of your ability. It's not an exact science. Even with a food scale it is all about estimating when it comes to some things.0

Good question! Now I'm curious too.
Maybe measure the liquid before and after marinating and that'll give you a good estimate of what was absorbed?
