Muscle recovery supplements?

My thighs get sore very easily when I start working out. I did a beachbody workout and my thighs hurt so bad, hurts to just walk. My thighs are definitely weak and it wasn’t extreme exercising by any means, I’m just really out of shape. Beachbody does carry a recovery supplement that is suppose to reduce soreness and help muscle repair itself faster but I want to hear of other options too since theirs is out of stock right now and plus it’s kind of pricey. Open to all options though. Thanks.

There are no supplements that reduce soreness. What seems to help for most people is to keep using your muscles lightly throughout the day.. like a few bodyweight squats hourly, for example.
To prevent soreness like that, start with a shorter workout and increase a little each session.4 -

There is not supplement that will help. The main help is to not go from 0 to a full program all at once. Ramp up slowly over a week or 2 and condition your muscles to adapt. Only do what you can reasonable recover from in a day or 2.4 -
Thank you all!2

The best thing you can do is exercise regularly, you will get significantly less muscle soreness. When you take a break over 2 weeks or so, you start to get soreness again.2

I’ve had this issue before when I’ve gone from 0 to full-on workout speed in the past. Now I’ve learned to follow the advice above and break myself back in slowly, but, since you are already experiencing some pain, you have a few options:
First, just rest and recover. Second, do a lot of stretching, keep the muscles loose and warm, and power through it. I’m finding yoga to be amazing for keeping my muscles in great shape, too. Third, this is something I’ve done once I’m already sore, is to use a foam roller to help alleviate the soreness. It’s a great go to for me. It hurt like crazy rolling out those sore quads, but afterwards the relief was sooooo nice.
Supplements will do nothing. The lactic acid just needs time to dissipate from the muscle.2 -

Thank you so much!! I need to get me a roller0 -
Along with everything mentioned above, I like a nice hot soak in the tub with Epsom salt.2

In addition to all the above, improper hydration can have a dramatic effect. Keeping up with water intake will help; the best measure is straw-to-clear colored urine.0

Staying super hydrated! I also use repair from Isagenix-3
