Getting things under control

Putting this here as accountability to myself. My eating habits have been out of control, some days are good, others I find myself eating in a completely uncontrolled way. Last night I ate over 2000 calories worth of cookies....now I love cookies and I don’t believe in good food bad food, it’s more that I ate so far over goal, and I was already at maintenance when I did this so it more then eroded my deficit for the week. It’s not an issue of my deficit being too high, I aim for 1/2 to 1 lb a week and I eat 2050 calories a day to achieve this. I do however have and always have had a big appetite. I have never been the person who can post that I’m finding it hard to hit my calorie goal for the day. I love food and I love to eat. I’ve been on this journey for a long time now, and I fully expect to be on it my whole life wether I am trying to lose or maintain. I know what I need to do and what works for me. I’m putting this in writing because I know that when you write something down you are more likely to achieve it.

Today I will stay at or slightly under my calorie goal.

I will repeat this every day until I hit my goal weight.

If you find yourself in a similar place I’d love to know what is working for you?

I have a big appetite. Small meals just don’t leave me satisfied at all. I’ve started just having coffee in the morning and skipping breakfast. This gives me more calories for lunch and dinner and overall I feel a lot more satisfied. On days I eat breakfast I generally struggle more to keep to my calorie goal.
