Hey there,
I am curious if anyone has any tips or strategies for avoiding emotional eating. It’s been a struggle for me and I am curious about other people’s journey

yes. my mood often depicts my meal. happy moods will have my prepping food and trying out new recipes. rotten moods will have my ordering pizza and eating it out of the box. i have been at this for years! with me, it is my own mindset that is the culprit, so i try to think of my emotional state in terms of 'purifying' it. i try to imagine how drinking water will help to cleanse my mind the same way it helps to cleanse my body, versus drinking soda will cause my anger/sadness/whatevas to stick, much like the sugar will stick to my insides. i also try to sweat all those feelings out by working out to loud, angry grunge music. with this, at least, if i end up ordering the pizza anyways, at least i've had a good calorie burn for that day!0
