Yes, I'm talking about Rogaine or anything similar. :( Does anyone have experience with them they'd like to share? Do they work, are they worth the $$$? If you'd prefer privacy, please send me a PM.
I'm a 66 yo F who has inherited the thin hair genes. :( Lucky me. And as my hair follicles have withered away, it's getting progressively worse. Embarrassingly so.

Any advice? Thanks so much!!!

My dermatologist does recommend Rogain..My hair had started to thin..I saved a cluster of my hair and made an appointment with my dermatologist. She ran blood tests that showed I was anemic. I was prescribed an iron supplement and needed to return in three months for a follow-up blood draw..I used the Rogaine to supplement my iron..It definitely helped but my hair will always be what it is. I will never have thick rapunzel type hair😔 I hoped this helped..

My friend swears that collagen peptides have helped her hair grow more and is fuller. I started my mom on it & she says her arthritis has improved greatly since she started it. I’ve looked into it & the research seems to be there for it. Might be something to look into.

Examine.com says Rogaine (minoxidil) works for baldness that's not androgenic.

If you search "hair growth" or similar on their site, they may also review effectiveness of dietary interventions or supplements.

It's a generally well-regarded, evidence based, neutral site that doesn't sell supplements or advertising. (They charge for some research reports about supplements and such: That's how they make their money.)

nioxen shampoo (the ingredient in it i can't remember what it is) helps treat scalp issues that cause hair to thin for some people. also, i put collagen powder in my coffee. it makes my hair so full and healthy...though i don't know if it would help with your condition, but may help what you have left to stay healthy and keep from breaking off. collagen powder is very inexpensive and won't hurt you if you try it. its great for skin and nails also...and a bunch of other things. the reason for thinning hair can come from many reasons and you should see a specialist/dermatologist to help you figure out the underlying cause to find out what treatment may work best for you.
