Canyon Grail Tire Question

Wondering if any MFP cyclist can help. I'm deciding between an endurance and gravel bike to replace my aging race bike. Considering Trek Domane, Canyon Endurace or Canyon Grail. My question on the Grail is can I swap slick tires to run road without needing to have a full tire and group swap? Most advise I see online is to maintain two full wheel set ups. I would like to just put slicks on if I plan to ride mostly road but is this possible on the stock DT Swiss C 1850 Spline db wheels? Would it be too much rolling resistance for pure road riding?

What kind of gravel do you plan to ride?
I have two wheelsets and it's convenient sometimes. It's a pretty common practice for gravel bikes to have a set for gravel and a set for road, each with different tires and cassettes. I mostly just have two so I can beat the cheaper ones up when I plan to ride somewhere really rough.
You might not need aggressive (or any) tread for gravel riding, depending what your gravel is like. I do mostly hard packed dirt, and I use 28 mm road tires.
IRC RoadLite and X-Guard are excellent tires. RoadLites are comparable RR to Pro Ones and GP5000s. I've done hundreds of miles of dirt on both. I'm as fast on the pavement with them as I ever was.0 -
I'm not entirely sure I understand the question...
Why COULDN'T you swap tires on a bike? Unless you are talking about different tire sizes such that clearance might be an issue, I don't know why you couldn't do it. Are you planning to run tubes, or go tubeless? I'm not sure I'd want to swap tubeless tires on any kind of regular basis, but if tubed I don't see any problems.0
