Burger bowls have changed the way I do salads!!
Wow, I’ve started making burger bowls lately for lunch, and they really taste exactly like an unwrapped burger! Or if you’ve ever had a lettuce wrapped burger from like In-n-out or Red Robin, it’s basically that, but so much easier to eat.
Here’s my recipe:
3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
4 oz ground turkey (you can also use beef or chicken if you’d like!)
Sliced cherry tomatoes
Diced raw onion
Sliced pickles
“Special sauce”
2 tbsp light mayo
1 tsp mustard
Pinch of onion powder
Pinch of sugar free sweetener of your choice
Splash of vinegar
This all makes a pretty huge bowl for less than 300 calories!
You can also add avocado, bacon, egg, or anything else you’d add to a regular burger.
I’ve been having your typical grilled chicken salad for lunch for the past couple weeks, and was feeling super burnt out, but wanted to make sure I was continuing to get some kind of veggies in at lunch. This is a total game changer for me, and I highly recommend trying it!

Very nice. Sounds tasty. We have a local burger joint that makes these on romaine lettuce with homemade bleu cheese dressing for those choosing to hold the bun.0
