But new to feeling like yeah, I think I've finally found the right mindset to make this thing stick.
Hi! I'm Kat, 39, live in sunny Southern California. I'm a queer lady who likes to sing songs to people's cats and have goofy conversations with their dogs, always manages to get glitter everywhere, and was voted "Most likely to be reading anything other than her textbook in class" in high school.
During quarantine, I've come to embrace my wild lioness mane of hair, have finally found the cleaning bug that everyone else got weeks ago, and have made the decision to take control of my health.
After getting sober nearly 7 months ago, and graduating from an eating disorder program 2 months ago for Binge Eating Disorder, I'm ready to take the next steps. What that currently means is moving my body more, as I've been very sedentary during quarantine which has made my muscles, joints, etc. somewhat unhappy. I also have somewhat recently encountered some GI issues, joint pain, sleep apnea, and pre-diabetes due to my weight and previous eating habits (exacerbated by my BED). I know that losing weight isn't a cure for these things, and that's not my main goal. My goal here is to find and stick to things that make my body happy and able to function well.
If you're on a similar journey (or just want to send me pictures of your pets), please add me so we can cheer each other on!
