Been working on this one for a while, it's turned out to be way harder than I expected. Getting close though!2 -
I have the same puzzle sorter, but in blue. My helper loves to jump on the table and swipe the pieces onto the floor, which she just finished doing in the photo below. 💞 🐱 💞

I've been working on a Salvador Dali puzzle for like a year now but still not even halfway yet. i actually put it up like a month ago in my puzzle mat. i need to start again1

Aw man, I put together a bunch, but I already glued them together and hid them in a closet until I can get frames for them. I want to say it's 3 1000 piece puzzles and 1 500 piece one.0

My favorite thing to do lately!! I've been keeping 'Bits and Pieces' in business; evidently everybody else has too because my picks are never in stock when I go to actually order.
I like Charles Wysocki or any old time folk type puzzle. But have been doing most any I can find. I refuse to pay over 15 bucks a pop though.
It's one of the reasons I wish all the thrift stores would reopen now, they're still iffy here. Usually the 1000 pc. puzzles keep me busy for a few days.
Did you see the Campbells tomato soup puzzle they had online a few weeks ago? Completely red puzzle. No thanks.0 -

I have been lucky, a local bookstore in my area seems to have some sort of secret tap into the puzzle industry. They have managed to keep affordable inventory through all this. I'm not going to ask who sold a kidney to work that out.
Haven't seen the campbells one, but I have seen the all white, all black, and a clear plastic one. I agree, not for me!

My MIL was a big jigsaw puzzler. Dh bought her a 5000 pc. puzzle for Christmas one year. She said "Don't EVER do that again!"
My limit is 1000, would attempt 1500, but not 5000.
I like them but not that much.

I started a really cool puzzle that was all products that are manufactured in the USA. I spent two days sorting and organizing the pieces, and I had put together the border. My 20 year-old son and his girlfriend got interested, and two days later they had finished it! I was a tiny bit disappointed, but mostly really happy that two people that age were not on their phones or watching Netflix. It was fun to see them get so excited and addicted to something besides electronics!2

haha, it does grate a little bit when someone does a few pieces of my puzzle. I would be sad if someone did the whole thing.0 -

I can usually do a 1000 piece one in 10-15 hours (in several sittings). The one I posted above is kicking my butt big time. Usually as you get close to the end things speed up, but last night I stared at it for an hour and still only got 5-6 pieces. It's the most challenging one I have ever done!
I have a 2,000 piece one that is my step-up goal from 1,000. I dont think it is this exact one, but similar. I remember it looking more realistic vs cartoonish, but maybe I am just remembering wrong. I might have to do an easier, confidence building one before I start a new challenge again

here @ReenieHJ this one is 42,320 pieces. It would have to be huge! Not even sure where I could put such a large puzzle, on my garage floor maybe

Are you sure that's not a product number or something???Holy moly, definitely no thank you!
Yeh, as I was checking out your HP puzzle, I was wondering how hard it was. I need to have puzzles with words, lots of faces, bright colors to differentiate the pieces. All your pieces must look alike.
One of my dds is turning 30 this year, and she's never done a puzzle in her adult life but I bought her a 1000 piece one with different brands of beers when Covid hit. She had it done in a couple days.0 -
I dont think so, it says 40320 pieces in the product description, and its only $415.001

Progress is still pretty slow but getting there.0 -

Impressive! My patience would never hold up long enough to finish it.0 -

I put them away in my closet art binder until I can frame them. Sorry!0 -
So close! Hopefully wrap this all up tomorrow night!

Yes, but I have never actually rolled it up, so can't really say if it works well or not0 -
Buying used puzzles.
Hate when I get towards the end of a puzzle and just cannot find the missing pieces. But which is worse....paying 20 bucks a puzzle vs. .50?
Call me cheap.
My mini vent for the day.1 -

So far, I have had luck buying thrift store puzzles. The previous owners of the puzzles were even nice enough to store the pieces in ziploc bags inside the boxes.
I hate when I lose a piece to a puzzle or my cat(s) run off with it and I don't find it for two years (or ever).1 -
Finally got around to finishing it.

Very nice!!
Do all you puzzle-doers end up taking them apart again and saving for a future endeavor or do you glue/frame, etc.?
My dd sent me 2 puzzles of Iceland and they'll be up next when(IF) I ever get my current one finished. Can't wait!0 -
I have never glued and saved one. I personally don't see the point, I wouldn't hang it in my house. I keep some to redo, I gave a all the ones I had done away during COVID since inventory was low for a while and people couldn't get them. A coworker of mine was over for dinner the other day and saw this one, apparently his wife is a puzzler and HP fan so he asked if she could have it when done. Not sure I would do this one again, it was almost a little too challenging and had it's unfun moments in the middle where I really struggled to make progress. But, maybe I would if it come back to me 🤷🏼♀️0

I just got a 3000 pc. puzzle. Probably will regret it. But hey, only $.50. Lol I've never done one over 1000 pcs.0

Haha, haven't dared the 3000 pc. one yet. I just finished a 500 pc of an Icelandic Horse and even that was tricky. Now I'm doing 1000 pc. one of Pingvellar in Iceland, lots of mountains/rocks/sky/greenery, yikes.
I got my sister and her dh into doing puzzles and it's been a godsend for them. He has moderate to late stage Alzheimer's and it's one of the few things he'll sit down for any length of time for. Plus all his caregivers like to participate as well. They've started trading puzzles, even his once-a-month doctor. But the look he gives you when a puzzle is finished....
He's so proud even though his participation involves finding the edge pieces and fitting maybe 5 pieces into a 300 pc. puzzle.
It'll be a memory his family hopefully can cherish forever.
What puzzle are you all working on now?1 -

I haven't moved to a new one yet. Doing some painting and decorating projects around the house right now and was out of town last weekend. Maybe in a week or two I will be ready to start another. I'm in serious scatter brain mode with my house right now, so many little things I want to do to decorate. We have been here for 5 years and still have almost nothing on the walls!0
