    I'd say.

    Started at 253 pounds.

Now about 191 pounds. I've lifted heavy since I started in November 2011.

    209 pounds to 191.5 pounds

well there's both... i.e women who are still obese and lifting huge amounts of weights and getting leaner.... and also those who've got really lean already. Sorry I don't have much to contribute... I used to be obese now doing powerlifting, but was mostly doing it wrong until recently. I could have done better if i'd done it correctly from the start.

I was hoping more people would have replied by now because there's loads on here...

Former obese woman here. Lifting was my primary exercise as I lost.

Heck yeah! I was at nearly 40% bodyfat when I started lifting. I've progressively gotten heavier and heavier with my lifting. I'm down to 28% now, lost almost 40 pounds.
