I'm new to MFP :)

In a nutshell... I have been 125-130lb for most of my adult life, and I have always tried to exercise 3x per week and eat healthily... until I started gradschool. I stopped taking care of myself as a grad student, I didn't eat right or exercise regularly, and I knew it.

I graduated in the Spring at 29 yrs old, and weighed in at 140lb. I'm only 5'2 so gaining 10-15lb shows up quite obviously.

Since then, I have been working hard to get myself back to the 125-130lb range. I run 3+ times per week. I threw out all the junk food from my house. My husband and I don't eat out as often. A couple weeks ago I went on a weekend trip with friends. I had lost 5 lb (approx 135lb) and they said they could tell. I've been hovering around 135-137. I have gotten more tone and my clothes fit better, so I'm really trying not to lose motivation.

For me, the hardest part is not the exercise itself, but motivating myself to get on the treadmill in the first place. Once I'm actually on it and running, I'm good. Can anyone else relate? Another difficult thing is how slowly the pounds are coming off. I understand that this is the healthy way to do it, but it's hard not to get frustrated.

Anyway, please friend me! I'd love to get to know more of you, and hopefully we can motivate each other.
