Hi,
I've been a member here for a while, but haven't posted because my progress has been dismal.

After a recent illness and stay in hospital I've decided to make some lifestyle choices. Namely watching what I eat, making an effort to exercise daily and cutting out alcohol completely.

I would consider myself to be a hardened drinker so the last of those choices is the toughest but probably the most important. Almost 8 weeks now without a sniff and I've found that I'm not missing it. Lockdown is helping. I think it'll be tougher once we're able to socialise again...

I'm a 52 year old, male, 180cm tall and prior to my illness I was in the region of 112kg (247lbs). That's over 17.5 stone.

I am now down to 100kg. 12kg drop in almost eight weeks. My target is to get down to 86kg, so wish me luck.

I've been inspired by some of the stories on here and feel encouraged to do well. Up until now, my efforts have been half hearted to say the least, but now I feel like I can and will achieve my goal.
