Thank you, @jeanniewes for starting the month off! And great of you for overshooting your goals! Hope your knee is healed and feeling better. Going though arthritis issues myself in my knees, more so since moving back to WI, so I understand!
Well, last month I was cautious, and started 5 days into the month while modifying my training from running to walking. Still was able to overshoot my 30 miles goal by 17, for a total of 47. I do have a training schedule in place, and, by counting the days up, I'm going for:
June goal: 55 miles2 -
According to an estimate from Google, my 363,624 steps equated to 173.6 miles last month. I think I should shoot for 200 miles this month. Using the estimate that 2,095 steps = 1 mile, 200 miles = 419,000 steps or an average of about 14,000 a day for June.

dreamer my knee is much improved but NOT 100%. We still don't know IF indeed it was a knee injury. When COVID started I did not go for physical therapy. My husband is a Nurse (retied last April) and we did the therapy here at home together. I have days I know there is a twinge there and days it does not bother me at all. The gout test they did showed a slight elevation but Dr does NOT think it is gout. They did an Xray but that showed nothing either. Should I have problems like I did before they will do an MRI. Soooooooooooooo I am happy ..SO HAPPY too have met my first goal since November of last year...
I will be away for 11 days.... everyone please carry on. When I return I WILL log my progress as we are going too one of our State parks that just opens TODAY. We will be camping/hiking there. I hope too log up many miles!!!!!!!!!!!

@jeanniewes Wow, hope you get it back to 100% soon. My mum is a nurse, so I totally understand! and, he may be "retired" on paper, but, really, is a nurse EVER really retired? lol My mum is 76 and just finished her CEU's to renew her license, even though she hasn't worked for a few years. Enjoy your hike and camp, looking forward to your updates when you get back!

So I had PLANNED to walk south along the Lake Trail, and planned where to join up with it using apps and driving down during the week with someone who had walked it before. However, once I actually got down there....things were NOT as I had planned out, so I had to adjust on my feet (ha ha, get it?) Still made my 4 mile goal.

These were at least TWO walks a day but sometimes a bit more! Camping is great. All you have too do is eat, sleep and walk! lol.....I use too bike but my knee doesn't let me. I am still happy I have got back too a good start though.... We will be here until MONDAY and then we will be off for 11 more days....
Today was a work day. Lawn work. PUSH MOWING both Front and Back Lawn. Took me several times through out the day. Don't usually do it all in one day!!!!!!!!!!!!

@jeanniewes Way to go on meeting and exceeding your goal!! And with a vacation thrown in there. That, my girl, is called dedication! And so happy your knee held up, too.
Decided that since my migraine knocked me out of last week's workouts, I would just "repeat" the week (hmmm, can you technically repeat a week you haven't done?). So today, I did the longest walk I have done to date - other than sightseeing through Boston! I've run 2 15K's and done 2 duathalons, but since my "old ailments" (arthritis in knees & shoulder, asthma, etc) kicked in this year, I decided to put running on the shelf for a bit & walk & bike. I had a beautiful plan for the walk, but then there were some storms that blew through yesterday making that trek too muddy to even undertake. Still, rocked it out!

I get no credit on the knee other than the exercises. I've prayed hard for healing in this knee problem I've had since end of Oct last year! It was quite frustrating. I am so happy too be back too walking... Now 13 years ago I would have said "walk..you got too be kidding!" lol....
AND you CAN repeat a week you haven't done in that you just do the same thing...DON'T DO IT! However I my guess is you would rather live without those nasty migraine's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@jeanniewes No kidding about the migraines! They are clinical, heredity ones, my dad had them, his father, my mum's mother, my brother also gets them, as well as 1 of my sons. Sucks! They were settling down a bit, but seemed to increase after moving back to WI. Oh well, I have a new doctor, hopefully we can find a new path to help them.
