Hi. Started on Monday 6/1. I am 61 years young, live in Florida and am a trauma nurse. These past few months have been very stressful and I need to get motivated to drop some weight. Any offerings will be appreciated. Have a great week.

Consider that the best time to start is when you are not feeling overly motivated. Just start logging your food. In a week or so take a look and see if there is an easy way to get you inside a mild calorie deficit. Sometimes it is as easy as cutting back on caloric drinks.
In the past when I was highly motivated I always tried to do too much too soon. I was feeling ambitious so I was sure I could do something like replace 2 meals a day with a shake and exercise for an hour. For a short time I would be able to sustain an aggressive plan and lose weight. The problem is that either life would get in the way or the aggressive deficit would suck all the wind out of my sails and then it all unraveled.
Design a plan for days you are not feeling ambitious and then days you are you can add a little more to what you do.2
