Chunky and Changing

Hello!!

My name is Chelsea, I'm 27 years old and I am ready to CHANGE.

My current weight is 231 pounds and I'm feeling it, lol.

I've been petite my whole life until I hit about 23 and then I started packing on the pounds. fast.

23-25 I had went from 120 to 200 pounds. Since turning 27 I've added another 30 pounds. It feels AWFUL!

MY self esteem is pretty down, but what I care about most is that I'm very very unhealthy, I can feel it in everything I do... So I decided to start a low carb diet, eat around 1200 calories in the start, and do intermittent fasting. I'm getting up for walks too, but I'll have to add more exercise as I adjust. I have a very stationary desk job.

So here's to chunky chelsea being... less chunky! o:)

How did you get to 1200 calories?

Be careful with changing too much too fast. That does work for a few people but in my experience the more drastically you change the faster you want to return to "normal" which doesn't end well.

It wasn't that long ago you were successfully maintaining at a lower weight so it might be worth evaluating what has changed that led to the weight gain. Are there any habits from your 22yo self that you can reintroduce?

Welcome! Im 34 and my starting weight back in march was 234. Im down 15lbs so far, and very motivated to keep it going. Id like to lose a total of 85lb and get to a healthy BMI with a weight of 150lb.

Right now I've been losing a steady 1lb a week while eating about 1400 calories a day. It feels manageable although the afternoon snack cravings are killing me.

Looking for friends on a similar journey! Please add me!

Hi! I’m 5’9 231 lbs. 35 years old. I want to start eating healthier. Not cutting everything out. Trying to be more active too.
