Fitbit exercise/step calories

Ok so yesterday I ate 3,000 kCals. However I also spend (according to my Fitbit) 273 minutes with my heart rate elevated and took 11,000 steps. The caloric adjustment from all this says I was still under by 900+ calories. This seems...odd.

I also took some anxiety meds that caused me to be SUPER hyper and munchy, if that affects anything.

So you have just enough half information that you can't actually discern anything.

You ate 3000 calories. and appeared to be able to have over 900 more.

Are you set to weight loss goal, or weight maintenance on MFP?
If weight loss by how much loss rate?

What did the Fitbit say you had burned in total for that day?

11K steps just says you are very active then, but some of those may have been part of a workout maybe?

Did you log a workout on MFP perhaps?
Did the Fitbit already log the workout?

The meds may have caused your elevated HR to be seen as exercise, and if so but at the bottom range of aerobic HR - it would have been inflated calorie burn.

Look at your Fitbit daily graph through website access - HR where it shows high - does the calorie burn graph show high also?

Find the really high calorie burn parts - does it equal times of high HR or step count/distance?

With that many steps - it could just be your stride length is off, and it thought you did more distance than you really did - daily activity is distance-based calorie burn, so elevated HR doesn't matter unless there are steps there to make it think workout was done instead.
