so my calorie goal is 1798. My weekly calorie consumption is typically around this:1483. Thats about 300 calories lower. Is this okay? I'm trying to lose weight, and am, but was wondering if its too low. I'm already in a calorie deficit with 1798.

What really matters is your actual weight loss rate. Keep that sustainable and healthy.
If you're just starting out, I'd recommend eating close to your MFP allowance, until you have at least 4-6 weeks of results to use to calculate a weekly average. (Compare the same relative point in at least two different menstrual cycles, if premenopausal.) Then you can adjust your goal up or down based on experience.
By eating less than goal, you're setting yourself up to lose faster than the target loss rate you told MFP you wanted. While losing too slowly can be frustrating, losing too fast can increase health risks (feeling goog, not hungry, is no guarantee that you're on safe ground). In the early weeks, until you have data from personal experience, it's sensible IMO to believe MFP, rather than undercutting it.0
