Im 29 years old and I just beat stage 3 cancer 2 years ago. I'm still dealing with it's fallout, including a very rare disease caused by my chemo called Avascular Necrosis, basically bone decay (it also unfortunately and without precedence presented itself in both shoulders and both hips) I have 3 of 4 core decompression surgeries complete but the last one (my right shoulder) is delayed because of Covid.
I'm struggling with finding myself back on the path of fitness because I always wanted to just "get over the next hill" before starting, but I've come to realize that's just resigning myself to being a couch potato forever because I'll likely always have health complications.
I'm incredibly unfit, but still under 200 lbs, just trying to get my body back from before all this happened to me so i'll be better braced for the next problem! It's just a bit hard to feel motivated because in another month or too, I'll likely be needing a major surgery on my shoulder (likely an arthroplasty because the disease is degenerative) that'll put me back on the couch erasing whatever gains I make. sorry if that's negative - i swear i'm a positive person, this is just my weak point haha

I cannot even begin to imagine what your going through. I'm sorry you are dealing with all that.
Maybe..think of the other benefits of working out. I use exercise for my mental well being. Going into another surgery, it may help. If you want someone to chat with feel free to message me
