Three Years of Progress, Seven Years of Backsliding

In 2009 I found myself the heaviest I had ever been. After getting out of a long term relationship, I decided to seriously make an effort to get healthy and happy again. It took three year of hard work. Three years of watching what I ate, training to run 5Ks, and when I plateaued at 220 pounds, finding a personal trainer. Eight years later, I found myself recovered from a bad knee injury that required surgery and back where I started. It came back gradually, 5 to 15 lbs a year.
My journey to back to health begins again. In the middle of my first week, I feel good. I feel determined. I'm not in a hurry. I know what it took last time, I expect it take the same effort or more this time. I feel good knowing that I am not alone in my goals. I did it once before. I know it's not impossible for me. I know it's not impossible for you. Good luck.

I’m sorta in the same boat. Lost a lot. Got sick. Gained a lot back. Trying to lose it again.
