This is a challenge for those of you that enjoy high volume bodyweight workouts.

If you're a graduate of P90X, Insanity or other high volume routines, this may give you a boost in this challenge. Before you start this challenge, you are going to want to have an intermediate level of muscular endurance and tendon strength.

Now we won't be breaking any records with this challenge but we will be getting a burn, pump and sweat with only one exercise..the push-up.

The challenge is 40 sets of 25 push-ups but here's the timing..you are going to set a timer and do each 25 repetitions on the minute. Perform 25 push-ups in under 30 seconds and rest 30 seconds, repeat for 40 rounds.

During the 30 second rest, you want to shake out any lactic acid build up and do light dynamic stretches to keep the muscles engaged.

Beginner 10 minutes: 250 push-ups
Intermediate 20 minutes: 500 push-ups
Advanced 30 minutes: 750 push-ups
Elite 40 minutes: 1000 push-ups

If you only reach level 1 on your first attempt, don't worry! You're still doing incredible in building the foundation.
The idea is to build your muscular endurance and that takes time for people if you haven't done much muscular endurance training before.

Once you have reached level 4, give yourself a pat on the back. You have reached 1000 push-ups! Congratulations!
