Morning all. I'm new to MyFitnessPal - usually if I'm on a health kick I log my calories manually (in a book).

With the lock down I haven't been doing as much exercise - I usually cycle to and from work - thirteen very hilly miles each way. Been working from home for almost three months has taken its toll on my weight as well as my fitness. Need to get back into it and also need to lose a bit (lot) of weight. MyFitnessPal has put my target weight at 1,500 kCals - which I think is a little low - but I am aiming to get under 2,000 if possible and do at least some exercise. Started jogging for the days where I'm not cycling but I really must get back on the bike on a regular basis. One reason for this is that I've signed up for a ride next year called LEL (London-Edinburgh-London). 931 miles in 125 hours. I've got until next August (2021) but that will come around sooner than I think. I've done some long rides before - done the C2C - Seascale to Whitby in a day before (done it on two different occasions) and that's about 150 miles but doing 186 miles a day for five days will be a whole new game for me.

Anyhow, just thought I'd say hello. I'll go and have a wander around the rest of the forum now.

Whoa, that is one heck of a ride! Good luck prepping for that. :) I"m over here thinking a century ride is going to be tough to prep for, but nearly 1K miles? Wow. Good luck!
