Why Does it take so long to sign in on mobile?

I just downloaded the myfitnesspal app on my phone and I'm trying to sign in and it's taking forever.

    It shouldn't, I always use mine on my Iphone and it's pretty much instant.
    I did have some issues when I installe it initially though, had to remove and reinstall at one point since it was bugging all the time

    What's the speed like if you try and open a webpage?

    Poor connection, low grade carrier pigeons, or you downloaded the wrong app.

    It's fine when I'm on a webpage. LIke if I'm using the web browser. but the app says "be patient, this may take a while." and it's loading?
