I have sore hips :(

So I have been doing a lot of lunges and dips in my daily workouts and my hips are very tired. I do the stretches but I think I need a better stretch. They feel like they want to cramp up. no bueno of a feeling :sick:

any suggestions?

    Get into a runner's lunge and put your hands over your head and lean your torso back. You should feel the stretch in the front of your hip of the leg in front. It works great if I explained it right!

    Where exactly in your hips? Joints? Muscle? Front? Side? Butt? Hip flexor?

    Do some IT band stretches. Do a YouTube search for videos.

    What are your sets, reps, and weight you are doing them at? And how often? Do you do some dynamic stretching before and stretching after?

    A couple ideas .......I love this stretch:

    Standing hip opener - cross your ankle over your leg (above the knee) then squat on the standing leg

    I really like a Rodney Yee DVD .... AM Yoga for Your Week ...... there is a 20 minute workout just for the hips. Great if this continues to be a problem area for you
