Question about weighing meat for meal prep! So let’s say i weigh 16oz of ground turkey raw and then i cook it and want to put it into 4 separate containers for the week, do i weigh out each container with 4oz cooked meat then? doesn’t it shrink? or do i just eyeball each amount evenly split? please let me know ( new here to meal prepping)

Log 4 ounces, the shrinkage is due to evaporation of water and, of course, water has zero calories.

Weigh the cooked meat and put one-fourth of the weighed amount in each container. Yes, it will be less than 4 oz. Log 4 oz. of raw turkey for each meal container.

I weigh out my ingredients for whatever I'm batch cooking, then divide the finished product into containers and weigh the containers to make sure they roughly weigh the same.

Bit of a pain, but if I could eyeball things well, I wouldn't be fat!
