Somewhere after having kid number 3 (2002) and today - I lost myself - and found another 100 pounds!! I don’t know how to start, have no motivation or energy but just know that I’m tired of being tired, depressed and unhappy! Any advice, comments, motivation- or just any human replies would be welcomed and appreciated.

Hi! Enter your stats into MFP and lit will give you a daily caloric goal. Head over to the Getting Started threads and read the sticked posts which provide tons of useful info to get you started. Weigh all your food and log daily.

    Welcome!

Choose one habit a week to add into your life and practice it. It could be drunk a glass of water before every meal, take a 20 minute walk, eat something green everyday...etc. I found that focusing on changing habits with doing something helped me better than removing things from my diet and making a list of can't haves.

The fact that you are here and trying to figure it out means you already took the first step. Try this. Set a goal of losing 3 pounds. When you do it give yourself a tiny reward and not necessarily a food reward. Just do something nice for yourself. You might feel deprived for a day or three but after a few days of counting calories you'll figure out you can eat a lot more food if you eat quality food. Once your body clears some of that I swear you'll feel like a fog has lifted from your brain.

I lost 100 lbs once. Now here I am back trying to get rid of 40 I gained back so I can totally relate.

Remember you are doing this for YOU. Others will reap the benefits of a happier, healthier you as well.

    You got this.

Just put in your stats, pick a weightloss goal, and start logging. You can figure the rest out as you go. Logging can be very eye opening if you've never done it before.
