Hello all. I started working out and logging about a month ago. I'm not doing keto or anything but I know in the past I've lost weight by cutting down carbs and eating more protein. I've googled and received tons of different suggestions on macros, does anyone have personal suggestions? I know it's different for everyone, but I'm lost on how much of what I should be kind of be aiming for.

The MFP defaults aren't a bad start, for most people.

(That one links to their protein calculator, so you can use their research insights to get their suggestion for your protein goal, if you like.)
This is the USDA nutrient calculator, that will give you personally-tailored recommendation on many nutrients:

(For my taste, they seriously lowball protein, based on recent research, and I think in general are trying to say what to do to avoid undernutrition, which isn't quite the same thing as recommending optimums. Still, it's an input to your thinking.
