Hydrolyzed collagen as a whey alternative?

Hi guys!
I was wondering if anyone has tried hydrolyzed collagen as a protein supplement as opposed to whey and how they feel about it.
I know it isn't as effective where muscle growth is concerned, but I really can't stomach the taste of whey (and chocolate/peanut butter doesn't cover it well enough). It looks like it might have other benefits as well. Thanks!

Personally I wouldn’t use it as whey substitute. I would probably eat more protein rich foods.
Heee is a good review from an unbiased source.

From a protein perspective, its highly inferior. If you are trying it to help skin, it might be better.
I would ask, how many different whey's have you tried? Have you tried a blend like PEScience or Quest? I ask because there are significant.taste differences between brands.1
