Getting weighed

Morning all, hope you are well?
I just wanted to ask about getting weighed and how often you do this?
This is my 2nd week using MFP and when I got weighed last week it showed a loss of 3.5lbs this week shows I’ve gained now I’ve been within my calories all week. I’ve exercised more but do to want to get disheartened by the number in the scales. Sorry I’m rambling!! Do you all get weighed or do you go by how you feel in clothes or measurements? Thanks Lynne xx

The scale goes up and down... Try not to get discouraged. Lots of people will suggest a weight tracking app that gives you an average. I personally weigh myself roughly 3 times a week and if I see an increase I weigh every day until it goes back down (which it always will). People have their own routine so you might want to try some different things out.

When I started I weighed daily - I liked the logs for statistical purposes and it was fun for me to watch the changes. The upswings were a bit frustrating, but I knew they were normal and would log them and keep going. It’s interesting to start seeing trends based on habits or activities. Now I weigh when I think about it. Sometimes daily, sometimes once a week. I have hit my first goal and decided to shoot for 5 more pounds, but I am taking those last 5 easy so it will be very slow progress with maintenance days mixed in... my brain isn’t as interested in the daily weigh in numbers like at the beginning.
