About my activity level

I'm still a noob here even though I've been on MFP for more than a year.
I'm not sure my activity level is properly set. If I walk 1.4 miles a day because I go to work by walking does it count as daily exercise or it doesn't because I do it 5 days a week and I should put my activity level to lightly active?

Most people would just incorporate that into their activity level, so I'd go with lightly active :)

Depends really. If it's 1.4 mile total and you don't walk much otherwise, it's still pretty much sedentary.

How you set it is up to you. You could set your level to sedentary and log your daily walking, or set your level to lightly active and not log it. I walk several miles most days, but set my level to sedentary and gave myself a manual calorie goal, then let my Fitbit worry about the difference -- that way I don't get surprised by negative adjustments in the evenings after I've stopped moving. But if you're logging activity manually, you may not want to have to enter your walk to work every day.

Incidentally, what Francl27 says above seems pretty accurate -- my Fitbit adjustment is close to zero when I've walked about a mile and a half. So I'd say that roughly a mile and a half a day is included in MFP's sedentary setting.
