About Polar Soft Strap

I just bought anew chest strap for my Polar FT4. It is a soft strap, which current strap is not. The instructions do not say anything about wetting this strap before use like my current one does. Does this one not need to be wet to work properly?

I never wet mine and it always seems to work just fine

yep and if you read carefully every 4-5 uses it actually needs washed. i use a bit of vinegar the delicate cycle.
