3 pounds down

..over 1 day! Is this normal? Will it be right back on again tomorrow?
I’ve been trying to eat sensibly and excercise lots for two weeks. I’ve been walking / jogging 5km four times a week. Yesterday was one of the best days I’ve had food wise... vege soup for lunch and zero fat yogurt for desert. Very very small slice of bread with the soup. More veges for dinner. I wasn’t once hungry and I drank lots of water. I had a rest day off sport. I had two small glasses of white wine, which is an improvement to my lockdown evening drinking....
For the last two weeks of hard work the scales haven’t moved. I can feel my fitness had improved but weight hadn’t changed. It was very discouraging.
And then today I awoke feeling slimmer. The scales agreed! 3 pounds lost in one day?!

Sounds like a 'whoosh' of water weight. Weight loss isn't linear. For some of us, our body holds on to water weight while losing fat, so weight loss seems stalled, and occasionally there is a 'whoosh' of water weight loss and we finally see results on the scale.
