Recent lifestyle change

Hello all, today is my first day on my fitness pal. I've recently started making changes to my lifestyle. I started this journey by going to therapy. After six months I finally feel that I am worth taking care of. I began changes to my diet at the end of May, my starting weight was 230. So far I have lost 18 pounds. I hope with help from this app and community as well as hard work I will reach my goal of 150. So if anyone has advice or kind words I would love to hear them.

    It sounds like you've already made some wonderful, productive changes.

    As far as advice, I think this post is the single best MFP on-ramp to the basic mechanics of using the app (don't be put off by the joke-y title):
