Decided to come back

Hello.
I decided to come back onto fitnesspal, after having my 2nd child to see how many cal I am eating a day and why I am not losing weight...

I was after some motivation help where possible. Some days I am just tired, I have a 4 year old and a 6 month old my hubby has just gone back to for after being furloughed due to covid 19. He just isn't helping me on the morning wake ups. I am worried if I tell him I need his help he will say I am working so you can do it..

Any advise 😳😳

Believe me, as a mother of a 4 year old and a 6 month old, you are working too. Being a mom of young children is hard work, rewarding yes, but also hard. Sending you a wish for a good night's sleep.

I'm in a similar position. My twins have just turned 4 and I've gradually gained weight over the last 4 years and 7lb jumped on during lockdown! (home baking anyone!)

I used my fitness pal a few years before I had my girls and lost 5 stone! Pregnancy and motherhood have made me lazy with my eating and exercise habits (agree with previous reply that we're still working looking after the children!)

My husband has just gone back to work after being furloughed and it is harder now but luckily it coincided with the girls nursery reopening (I've been working from home through the whole of lockdown). You need to be honest with your husband. It's hard with 2 young children and there's no reason you can't share the morning routine. If things have worked well while your husband was furloughed, maybe start the conversation with how much nicer it was when you were doing things together and he was spending more time with the children.

I just started again a week ago and will hopefully find the motivation to keep going, which is hard in these challenging times..
