Do you weigh all veggies and fruits?? I know with some like potatoes and some fruits it may be necessary but some veggies and fruits have so little calories. Just curious what everyone does.

I weigh 99% of my vegetables and fruits (or log approximate weights when I'm eating out). I only make exceptions if it's a very small quantity and it's a low cal veggie (1 or 2 leaves of lettuce, a few slices of cucumber...).

I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit, so if I didn't weigh/log those, I'd risk wiping out my deficit (weight loss rate of 0.25kg/week - 275kcal deficit per day).

When I was tracking I would weigh them once then use that same entry most days. Even fruit like grapes and berries. Definitely not green vegetables and salads. I typically use the same amount in my food. Now, was it the most accurate? No. But 100-200 calories here and there didn't make a difference for my personal intake, also I overestimate other foods so it tended to balance out. I would weigh avocado and banana though, most of the time.

I would recommend weighing if you want the most accuracy which can be important depending on your calorie intake and goals.

When I was tracking I mostly weighed since weighing was just part of my cooking process (chop, weigh), and second nature. I also liked using remembering the amounts as a way to improve my memory skills and seeing how closely the total was to my guess.

But if weighing was inconvenient or I wasn't home and hadn't pre-weighed, I'd estimate.

For me, it was mostly easiest just to weigh everything when possible, though, rather than distinguishing between foods I weigh and foods I don't and I found weighing quicker than thinking about what the estimate should be. Also, for a while I was tracking at Cron to see if I was hitting all my micros regularly, and weighing made sure I wasn't overestimating the veg and fruit I was eating and getting credit for more than I really consumed (now I know that's not an issue, but at first I wasn't good at eyeballing).

I weigh just about everything, so I don't see the point of not weighing vegetables and fruit. It's going to be way more accurate than trying to figure out if my apple is large or medium.
